Travertino Navona is the travertine of Rome: the pale cream and ivory stone of the city’s fountains, facades and piazzas, here cut with the grain so its fine horizontal layers run the full length of the slab in bands of ivory, sand and pale honey. It is one of the most timeless materials in the collection and one of the most versatile, equally at home on a full bathroom wall or a shower surround, a floor, a staircase, a facade, a fireplace or a long run of worktop, and it warms a room without ever competing with what is in it. It sits naturally with oak, walnut, linen, brass and black. The natural finish leaves the surface soft and matte, close to how the stone comes from the block, and the stone is typically filled so the characteristic pits of travertine read as texture rather than voids. Every slab is unique, and as a natural stone the surface should be sealed and cared for.
