Emotion Wonder is an exotic granite and one of the most theatrical stones in the collection. Its ground moves between charcoal, steel grey and near-black with a blue cast running through it, and set into it are crystalline plates that throw back silver, pearl and cream as the light shifts, giving the surface a depth that photographs never quite capture. It is a stone for the one surface that carries a room: a waterfall island, a bar or reception front, a fireplace or a bookmatched feature wall, ideally with grazing or accent light to bring out the crystal. As a granite it is exceptionally hard and heat and scratch resistant, so it stands up to heavy daily use better than most marbles. Colour and crystal density vary considerably between blocks, so slabs are best selected in person, and the surface should be sealed and cared for.
