Onix Jewel is the softest stone in the onyx collection: a ground of cream and pale beige, clouded with caramel and tan, the colour gathering and dispersing across the slab in broad, feathered bands rather than sharp veins. Polished, it takes on the depth that onyx is prized for, the surface reading almost liquid under light, and it is at its best where that can be seen: a bookmatched feature wall, a reception or bar front, a backlit feature wall, a fireplace surround or a full-height cladding run in a lobby. It carries bronze, brass and dark timber beautifully and warms a room the way a light source does. As a porcelain surface it is hard-wearing, non-porous and needs no sealing.
